Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: Up to £1100 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teacher dedicated to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
GSL Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school setting in Dinnington (S25).
As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons that support both academic progress and emotional development. You will help students overcome behavioural challenges, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to succeed in education and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Support pupils in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions.
- Create a structured, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
