Job Title: Computer Science (CS) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are thrilled to welcome an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to schools across Sheffield, inspiring learners in the S2 and S3 areas to gain confidence and skills in computing and digital technologies.

As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will deliver lessons in programming, computational thinking, and IT skills, helping students build both knowledge and practical ability in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, covering coding, algorithms, and IT systems.
  • Develop students’ problem-solving, logical thinking, and digital literacy skills.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Encourage students’ curiosity, creativity, and confidence in technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and share best practice to enhance teaching outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching computing or IT, suitable for a Computer Science Teacher role.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, computing concepts, and the curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire students and make computing accessible and exciting.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Professional understanding of safeguarding and student welfare
