Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education Kent are currently supporting a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury in their search for a dedicated History Teacher to join their humanities department and deliver engaging, high-quality history lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and mark work in line with curriculum expectations
- Inspire students to develop a curiosity and appreciation for History
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute positively to the wider humanities department and school community
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge as a History Teacher
- Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
