Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a knowledgeable Science Teacher to work within schools across Sheffield, supporting learners in the S2 and S3 areas and helping them achieve their full potential in scientific subjects.

As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics, encouraging students to develop their investigative skills, critical thinking, and understanding of scientific concepts.

Responsibilities of Science Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating science lessons tailored to students’ abilities.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Promote practical investigations, experimentation, and scientific enquiry.
  • Encourage students’ curiosity, confidence, and interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching science.
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and ability to deliver differentiated lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and make science engaging and accessible.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare.
