Job Title: SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Bordon
Contract: Permanent / Fixed-term
Hours: Full-time / Part time
Salary: £120 - £150 per day
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and skilled SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and inclusive school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting them to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess learning activities for individuals and small groups of pupils with SEND

Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs

Lead interventions and contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets

Provide cover for class teachers when required, in line with HLTA responsibilities

Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and independence for all pupils

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo, parents/carers and external agencies

Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience

Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting

A strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiated learning

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A calm, patient and flexible approach

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
