Job Title: Pastoral Managers
Location: Wakefield
Pay rate: Upto £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking Pastoral Managers to work within schools across Wakefield, supporting students’ personal development and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will work closely with staff, students, and parents to foster resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with personal, social, and emotional challenges.
- Implement pastoral strategies to encourage positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Monitor student attendance, progress, and welfare concerns.
- Promote an inclusive and nurturing school environment.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to school safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and calmly.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting students’ wellbeing.
