Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are advertising for a History Teacher to work within schools across the Rotherham district, including the S65 and S66 postcodes, delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that encourage pupils to explore historical events, understand different perspectives, and develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach history through clear, structured, and engaging lessons.
- Support students in developing research, analysis, and written communication skills.
- Provide constructive feedback to help pupils improve their understanding.
- Apply effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a History Teacher.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to supporting learners of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A professional approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
