Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are appointing a Drama Teacher to work within schools across the Rotherham (S65 & S66) area, delivering engaging lessons that build confidence and communication skills.

As a Drama Teacher, you will nurture pupils’ artistic abilities, encourage them to explore different dramatic techniques, and create a supportive space where learners feel confident performing, collaborating, and developing their own ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a well-planned drama curriculum that develops practical and theoretical understanding.
  • Guide students through performance work, script study, improvisation, and character development.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support individual progress.
  • Use effective behaviour strategies to maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues on productions, showcase events, and curriculum planning.
  • Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a Drama Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to supporting learners of mixed abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A responsible and professional approach to safeguarding.
