Science Teacher
Location: York
Salary: £32,916-£51,048 (Day rate for supply or long-term roles)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Part-Time / Full-Time – Supply or Long-Term Options
GSL Education are seeking passionate Science Teachers for a range of schools in the York area. Roles are available on supply, short-term and longer-term contracts, suited to innovative teachers of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or combined Science.

Science Teacher Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across the key stages.
• Differentiate learning to support all abilities, including SEN and EAL pupils.
• Use practical experiments and evidence-based strategies.
• Track pupil progress and provide timely feedback.
• Contribute to department planning and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management.
• Ability to inspire curiosity and scientific thinking.
• Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
