Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are inviting applications for an Art Teacher to work within schools in the Rotherham (S65 & S66) area. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys helping learners explore different artistic styles, techniques, and materials.

As an Art Teacher, you will plan imaginative lessons, nurture students’ confidence, and create a welcoming space where artistic skills can grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and varied art lessons across different mediums.
  • Support pupils with drawing, painting, sculpting, and creative experimentation.
  • Offer constructive feedback to help students refine their techniques.
  • Use effective behaviour management to maintain a calm, focused classroom.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and department activities.
  • Assess learner progress and keep accurate records of development.

Requirements of Art Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Confident subject knowledge and experience teaching art in schools.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to helping pupils express themselves creatively.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and school policies.
