Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a Design Technology Teacher to work in schools throughout Rotherham (S65 & S66). This role is perfect for someone passionate about guiding students through design processes, problem-solving, and real-world projects.
As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, support learners of mixed abilities, and encourage them to develop confidence in using tools, materials, and design software.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Teach Design Technology through clear, practical, and well-planned lessons.
- Support pupils with designing, modelling, and evaluating their work.
- Provide constructive feedback to help build technical and creative skills.
- Maintain a purposeful classroom environment with effective behaviour management.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
- Track learner progress and keep accurate assessment records.
Requirements of Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject expertise across areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to helping learners grow both academically and practically.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures in schools.
