Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for an English Teacher to work within schools across Rotherham (S65 & S66). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing reading, writing, and communication to life in the classroom.
As an English Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons, support learners of mixed abilities, and create an encouraging atmosphere where students can develop strong literacy skills.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English through engaging and accessible lessons.
- Support pupils with comprehension, analytical writing, and spoken language.
- Provide constructive guidance to help improve student progress.
- Use effective behaviour management to maintain a calm learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum discussions.
- Track pupil development and keep accurate assessment records.
Requirements of English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Confident subject knowledge and experience delivering English.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to helping learners grow academically and personally.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and school expectations.
