Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/January 2026 start
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable History Teacher to join schools in the DN2 and DN6 areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making historical concepts engaging and helping learners understand their relevance today.
As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured lessons that inspire curiosity, encourage analysis, and promote discussion. You will support students in developing research skills, understanding timelines, and interpreting historical sources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons across key historical topics and periods.
- Encourage students to analyse, discuss, and reflect on historical events.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Support extra-curricular activities related to history, such as trips or projects.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching history within a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering as a History Teacher.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
