  • Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.

  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil to promote engagement and wellbeing.

  • Encourage independence while offering reassurance and structure.

  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals where needed.

  • Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, communication needs, or additional learning needs desirable).

  • A patient, warm, and adaptable approach.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Reliability, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Why Join Through GSL Education?

  • Supportive, dedicated consultants who understand local schools.

  • Competitive pay rates.

  • Access to flexible and long-term opportunities across Essex.
