Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/January 2026 start
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher (DT) to join a forward-thinking school community in the Doncaster areas of DN2 and DN6. The role suits someone who combines practical teaching with clear guidance, helping learners build confidence in their technical abilities.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you’ll encourage students to explore design concepts, experiment with materials, and improve their craftsmanship. You will deliver structured, engaging lessons that nurture problem-solving, innovation, and independent thinking.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned lessons that promote curiosity and hands-on learning.
- Support pupils with practical tasks using a range of materials and tools.
- Ensure a safe, well-maintained workshop environment at all times.
- Provide thoughtful feedback to help students refine their skills and understanding.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
- Track progress and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
Requirements of Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering Design Technology within a school setting.
- Strong practical knowledge of DT materials, equipment, and safety procedures.
- The ability to communicate clearly and manage a busy workshop environment.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.
