Job Title: MFL Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £1100 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic MFL Teacher ready to inspire students through modern foreign languages?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated MFL Teacher to join a supportive and engaging secondary school in Sheffield (S35).
As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver dynamic lessons that help students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in languages such as French, Spanish, or German. You will encourage cultural awareness and a love of languages, supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities of a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Teach languages such as French, Spanish, or German, adapting to students’ abilities.
- Assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment.
- Encourage cultural understanding and foster a love of languages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages.
- Previous experience teaching MFL in secondary schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
