Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £1100 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S35).

As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students develop strong communication skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of English language and literature. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or ECTs who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Teach a range of topics within English Language and Literature.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track attainment.
  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment activities.

English TeacherRequirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
  • Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
