Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 - £600 per week 
Contract Type: Full time, Long-term/Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning and develop essential skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on the well-being and progress of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement personalised support strategies to meet the needs of each student.

  • Assist with classroom activities, promoting engagement, learning, and independence.

  • Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students manage challenges effectively.

  • Collaborate with teachers and the wider support team to ensure holistic student development.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

  • Support students with personal care and daily routines, where required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting is preferred.

  • Understanding of SEMH conditions and evidence-based support strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to working with children with diverse needs.
