Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay Rate: Up to £200 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking passionate Physical Education Teachers to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is a fantastic opportunity to encourage physical development, teamwork, and confidence through high-quality PE teaching.
As a PE Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Encourage pupils’ participation and confidence in a range of sporting activities.
- Monitor and assess pupil performance and progress.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school development.
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements for the role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and inspirational teaching style.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
