Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5 & S9)
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher looking to inspire pupils and develop their understanding of the world in the S5 & S9 areas of Sheffield?
GSL Education are seeking dedicated Geography Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield (S5 & S9). This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, build geographical skills, and encourage environmental and global awareness.
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach both physical and human geography topics with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Encourage critical thinking, enquiry, and map skills.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements for the role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
