Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Hunmanby, North Yorkshire
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate for a specialist academy near Hunmanby. The role is perfect for someone interested in behaviour support, therapeutic practice or progressing into a future SEN-related career.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with emotional and behavioural needs

• Implement strategies to aid engagement, regulation and communication

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams

• Assist in tracking progress and supporting interventions

• Encourage positive social interactions and independence

Requirements

• A degree in Psychology or related subject

• Interest in SEN, behaviour or developmental needs

• Strong communication and resilience

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
