Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield, S5
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediate or January 2026
A supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S5) is looking for a skilled and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term/day-to-day basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can support students’ social, emotional, and academic development while maintaining a safe and structured learning environment.

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, support students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs, and help them achieve their potential. You will plan and adapt lessons, manage behaviour sensitively, and contribute to the wider pastoral and curriculum team.
Responsibilities:

Deliver lessons and learning support for students with SEMH needs

Plan, adapt, and assess lessons to meet individual needs

Maintain a positive, safe, and structured learning environment

Monitor, track, and report on student progress

Collaborate with staff to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development

Contribute positively to the department and wider school community
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching students with SEMH needs preferred
-
Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
-
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
