SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Eastfield, North Yorkshire
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners with complex additional needs in a specialist provision based in Eastfield. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support

• Follow personalised learning programmes

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Assist teaching staff with resource preparation

• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement

Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEND

• Strong understanding of autism or SEMH needs

• Patience, empathy and resilience

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
