Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield (S13)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a supportive, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in pupils’ learning across the S13 area of Sheffield?

GSL Education are seeking committed Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming schools across Sheffield (S13). This rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils in the classroom and helping them achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support pupils with academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with classroom behaviour management and organisation.
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
