Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield (S25)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference supporting individual pupils in the S25 area of Sheffield?
GSL Education are seeking committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in supportive schools across Sheffield (S25). This rewarding role focuses on providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
As a 1:1 TA, you will:
- Provide personalised one-to-one support to a pupil throughout the school day.
- Assist with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Support pupils with academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
Requirements for the role:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred).
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
