Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield (S13)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a confident, organised, and reliable Cover Supervisor looking to support learning across classrooms in the S13 area of Sheffield?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in welcoming schools across Sheffield (S13). This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain classroom experience while ensuring pupils continue to engage in learning during staff absences.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ understanding of lesson tasks.
  • Manage classroom resources and ensure pupil safety.
  • Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and health & safety.

Requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and professional attitude.
  • The ability to engage and motivate pupils effectively.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
