Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £95 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start/Jan 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Dinnington S25 area. This role is ideal for someone who can provide personalised support, help pupils achieve their potential, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

In this role, you will work closely with class teachers to support students with a range of special educational needs, adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning requirements.

Responsibilities of SEN TA:

  • Assist pupils with SEN on a one-to-one or small-group basis to support learning and progress.
  • Help implement personalised learning plans and adapt classroom activities as required.
  • Support communication, social skills, and independence development.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and observations to inform teaching strategies.

Requirements for SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN will be advantageous.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confidence in adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to pupil welfare.
