Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start/Jan 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to support a specialist setting in the S25 area of Dinnington. This role is ideal for someone who can provide tailored teaching, adapt quickly to individual needs, and create a supportive learning environment.

As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with pupils who require personalised support due to a range of learning, behavioural, or communication needs. You will plan and deliver structured lessons that focus on progress, confidence, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adapted lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Use targeted strategies to support communication, social development, and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure consistent, effective provision.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and encourage positive learning habits.
  • Maintain detailed records of pupil progress and provide clear feedback.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an SEN Teacher or supporting children with SEND needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Confidence in adapting planning, resources, and approaches for diverse learners.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and commitment to student welfare.
