Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Redbridge

PayScale: £500 – £550 per week (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-time

As a Grad SEN TA, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve success both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist with communication, emotional regulation, academic tasks, and daily skills.
  • Implement personalised strategies under guidance from SENCOs and teachers.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote student well-being.
  • Support classroom routines and help create an inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A recent degree (Education, Psychology, Social Sciences or similar desirable).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
  • A genuine desire to grow and develop as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
