Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start/Jan 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and energetic PE Support professional to join a secondary school within the S2 and S3 areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sport, works well with young people, and can bring enthusiasm to a busy PE department.
This Physical Education Support role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, can engage with pupils confidently, and is keen to support a busy school environment. You will assist the PE Teacher in maintaining a positive, safe, and well-organised atmosphere during lessons, fixtures, and wider sporting activities.
Key Responsibilities of a PE Support:
- Assist the PE Teacher with preparing and delivering practical lessons.
- Help set up and pack away equipment for indoor and outdoor activities.
- Supervise students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and engagement.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to pupils of varying abilities.
- Assist with warm-ups, skill practices, and small-group tasks.
- Support with organisation of school fixtures, sports days, and extra-curricular clubs.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and uphold school expectations at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or sports setting.
- A positive, active, and encouraging approach to supporting pupils.
- Confidence in supervising groups and following teacher instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A strong interest in sport, fitness, or physical education.
