Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield (S2 & S3)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils with special educational needs in the S2 and S3 areas of Sheffield?

GSL Education are seeking committed SEN TA to work in welcoming mainstream and specialist schools across Sheffield (S2 & S3). This rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to access learning and reach their full potential.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and tailored learning plans.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiation.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing remain a priority at all times.

Requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN/SEND is desirable.
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
