Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Sheffield (S2 & S3)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Staff to work in welcoming schools across Sheffield (S2 & S3). This rewarding role offers the opportunity to positively impact pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and academic progress.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to implement behaviour plans.
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Build trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress.
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
