Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026
Contract: Fixed-term / Long-term placements possible
GSL Education are looking for a Psychology graduate to join a specialist Scarborough provision as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. This role offers valuable, hands-on experience for graduates interested in SEND, educational psychology or therapeutic support.

Role overview

Support delivery of targeted interventions informed by psychological principles (e.g. emotional regulation, social skills).

Assist with behaviour monitoring, progress tracking and implementing personalised strategies.

Run small-group or 1:1 sessions to develop resilience, communication and study skills.

Support classroom teachers in managing differentiated learning and restorative practice.
Requirements

Degree in Psychology or a related discipline.

Strong interest in SEND, child development and behaviour support.

Reflective practitioner with good communication and record-keeping skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
