EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026
Contract: Full-time / Part-time options
GSL Education are recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support early years learners within a specialist early provision in Scarborough. This role suits candidates who enjoy play-based learning and supporting early developmental and communication needs.

Role overview

Deliver play-based and structured learning activities for Reception and early years pupils with SEND.

Support speech, language and communication interventions and sensory regulation strategies.

Prepare resources, observe progress and contribute to early assessment records.

Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to support transition and developmental goals.
Requirements

Experience in EYFS, early years or SEND settings.

Understanding of early childhood development, personalised approaches and sensory needs.

Patient, creative and reliable with good teamwork skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
