Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher
Location: Wimborne
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to pupils’ individual learning needs and EHCPs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment.
  • Use a range of strategies to support pupils with learning difficulties, autism, SEMH needs, and other barriers to learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies.
  • Monitor pupils’ progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation, wellbeing, and social development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an SEN or specialist provision is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour support strategies.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
