SEN Tutor 

Location: Howden
Salary: £26 – £33 per hour
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner

GSL Education require knowledgeable and compassionate SEN Tutors to work with pupils in Howden who need focused, personalised support outside of the classroom environment.

Role Overview

  • Provide structured 1:1 tuition for pupils with SEND such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and developmental delays.

  • Deliver core subjects or Functional Skills through clear, tailored learning plans.

  • Support students who may be disengaged or transitioning back into education.

  • Liaise with GSL Education and multi-agency partners to ensure consistency in support.

  • Promote resilience, independence and positive learning habits.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS, Level 5+ SEN qualification or substantial experience in SEND tutoring.

  • Effective differentiation and behaviour management strategies.

  • A reassuring, patient approach and strong relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain professional communication.

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
