SEN Tutor

Location: Goole
Salary: £26 – £33 per hour
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are seeking SEN Tutors in Goole to provide structured, high-impact 1:1 tuition to learners with additional needs. These pupils often require a flexible and nurturing approach to re-engage with learning.

Role Overview

  • Offer tailored 1:1 tuition for pupils with SEND including autism, ADHD, SEMH and GDD.

  • Deliver learning in core subjects or Functional Skills, adapting to each pupil’s level and targets.

  • Support learners who may be educated outside mainstream settings.

  • Maintain close communication with GSL Education, parents and SEND teams to monitor achievement.

  • Develop learner confidence through consistent routines and encouragement.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS, Level 5+ SEN qualification or demonstrable experience tutoring SEND pupils.

  • Strong understanding of scaffolding and behaviour support.

  • Empathetic, supportive and confident working autonomously.

  • Excellent communication skills to provide regular updates.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
