SEN Tutor

Location: Withernsea
Salary: £26 – £33 per hour
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are recruiting experienced SEN Tutors to support children and young people in Withernsea who require personalised 1:1 intervention. This is a rewarding opportunity for educators who are passionate about helping pupils with additional needs overcome barriers to learning.

Role Overview

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils with SEND including autism, ADHD, SEMH and global developmental delay.

  • Create bespoke learning plans in English, Maths, Science or Functional Skills according to ability.

  • Support pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education or who need specialist provision.

  • Work collaboratively with families, GSL Education and local authorities to maintain clear progress tracking.

  • Build confidence, independence and positive engagement in learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS, Level 5+ SEN qualification or strong experience delivering SEND tuition.

  • Knowledge of adaptive teaching and behaviour regulation techniques.

  • Patient, calm and reliable, with the ability to build trust quickly.

  • Confident working independently and managing your own caseload.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
