Speech and Language Therapist – SEND School (Tower Hamlets)
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEND school in Tower Hamlets. The school supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs, providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored speech and language therapy interventions to pupils with autism and associated communication difficulties.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to create individualised communication plans.
- Assess, monitor, and review pupils’ progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to staff to promote effective communication strategies across the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Experience working with children with autism and/or SEND in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
