Assistant Campus Principal

Location: Reading Senior Campus
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start: January 2026 (or earlier by negotiation)

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Campus Principal to join our leadership team at a thriving and forward-thinking Senior Campus in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious senior leader who is passionate about driving high standards in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

You will work closely with the Campus Principal to deliver strategic priorities, enhance staff performance, and ensure the continued success and development of the campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Campus Principal in the strategic and operational leadership of the campus

  • Lead on teaching & learning, curriculum development, and assessment

  • Coach, mentor and performance manage staff to secure consistently high-quality teaching

  • Promote a culture of safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour

  • Analyse data to monitor progress and implement improvement strategies

  • Contribute to whole-campus planning, compliance, and quality assurance

  • Lead assemblies, events, and parent engagement activities

  • Act as Deputy Principal when required

About You

You will be an inspirational leader who leads by example and drives continuous improvement. You will demonstrate:

  • QTS with substantial middle or senior leadership experience

  • Proven impact on teaching quality and student progress

  • Strong understanding of senior school learners and curriculum needs

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work effectively within a high-expectation, innovation-led environment

  • Commitment to professional learning and collaborative practice
