Full-Time English Teacher – Secondary School in Waterlooville, Havant
GSL Education are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Waterlooville, Havant. This position is available on a full-time basis (4 or 5 days per week) starting January 2026, with a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year (July 2026). Applications are welcome from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are passionate about fostering a love of language and literature in young learners.
Responsibilities of an English Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons to secondary school students.
- Create and implement dynamic lesson plans that promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for teaching English and inspiring students.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
