SEN Teacher
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join one of our partner special schools in North Yorkshire. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 learners, focusing on Functional Skills and Life Skills.

SEN Teacher Requirements:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 learners with SEN.
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills.
• Ability to develop functional and life skills programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Functional Skills and Life Skills.
• Monitor progress and provide effective feedback.
• Support students’ social, emotional and personal development.
• Collaborate with SEN teams and support staff to implement individualised plans.
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
