Hair and Beauty Tutor
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: February 2026
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (pro-rata)
Contract Type: 3 Days per Week (Mon – Weds), 1 Year Fixed Term – Maternity Cover
GSL Education are seeking an experienced Hair and Beauty Tutor to join one of our partner alternative provisions in York. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about vocational education and supporting students in practical learning environments.

Hair and Beauty Tutor Requirements:
• Qualified to teach Hair and Beauty, vocational or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience teaching vocational courses to secondary-aged learners.
• Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Hair and Beauty Tutor Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, practical lessons in Hair and Beauty following a Level 2 programme.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote safe and professional practices in the learning environment.
• Contribute to department planning and vocational enrichment opportunities.
