Teaching Assistant Vacancy in Newham – Join a Supportive Primary School!
Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Salary: £90 – £105 per day – depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 08:30 am – 03:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Long-Term
At GSL Education, we are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a warm, welcoming, and supportive primary school in Newham. You will be supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Work closely with the class teacher to support, motivate, and engage pupils in their learning.
- 1:1 & Small Group Support: Provide targeted one-to-one and small group intervention, particularly for pupils with SEN.
- Student Development: Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and self-esteem in a safe and supportive environment.
- Learning Strategies: Use active listening and tailored learning strategies to support progress and individual development.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
- Confidence supporting children with SEN on a one-to-one basis.
- Basic knowledge of child development and learning support strategies.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A caring, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
