Job Title: Educational Support Worker

Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Are you a patient, supportive, and reliable individual looking to help students overcome barriers to learning? GSL Education are seeking a committed Educational Support Worker to join a friendly and inclusive school community in Weymouth.
As an Educational Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping students engage positively with their learning, develop confidence, and feel supported throughout the school day. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in classroom support, SEN settings, pastoral work, youth work, or similar environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom with learning tasks as directed by teachers.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay focused and motivated.
- Assist pupils with emotional, behavioural, or social needs when required.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in school activities.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to meet individual student needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in education, support work, SEN support, childcare, or youth work.
- Calm, empathetic, and dedicated to helping young learners succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Able to follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school support procedures.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or relevant experience desirable.
