KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Immediate Start
Location: South Manchester

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? GSL Education Manchester is currently recruiting for a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Manchester.
This is a full-time role, starting immediately, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, including Year 3 to Year 6, with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, sensory needs, and social-emotional challenges.
About the Role
Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with varying needs across KS2
- Assist with differentiation and curriculum access, using strategies suited to individual EHCP targets
- Promote emotional regulation, concentration, and independence in the classroom
- Support pupils with personal care or sensory regulation as required
- Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and interventions in collaboration with teaching staff
This is a key support role for the school’s SEND provision, and would suit someone calm, resilient, and committed to making a difference.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) – essential
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or KS2 setting
- Confident supporting a variety of additional needs, including ASC, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A nurturing, proactive, and patient approach
- A clear understanding of safeguarding, EHCPs, and inclusive education
- Availability to start ASAP and commit on a full-time basis
