Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £120 per day
Contract Type: Full time, Long-term

Are you confident, adaptable and ready to keep classrooms running smoothly when teachers are absent? A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Sheffield on a full-time, long-term basis.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning across the school. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, managing behaviour and ensuring a calm and focused classroom environment in the absence of teaching staff.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Create a calm and structured learning environment.

Support students with questions and keep them on task.

Report any issues or concerns to relevant teaching staff.

Attend briefings and follow school procedures where required.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work or similar setting is preferred.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Confident communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think on your feet and adapt to different classroom environments.

A calm, professional and resilient approach.
