Are you passionate about inspiring young people through sport and physical activity? An exciting opportunity has arisen at a local school in Sheffield, who are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to join their team and make a positive impact on student engagement and wellbeing.

About the Role:

As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with pupils to deliver high-quality PE sessions and structured activities, both in lessons and during enrichment periods. This role provides a great opportunity to support students’ physical development, teamwork skills and personal confidence, particularly for those who benefit from a more active and practical learning approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE and sports sessions across a range of age groups.

  • Support students’ physical, social and emotional development through sport.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork and participation.

  • Support pupils who may struggle with classroom-based learning by using sport as an engagement tool.

  • Assist with extracurricular sports clubs and activities.

  • Set up and manage sports equipment and ensure safe use of facilities.

  • Monitor and report on student participation and progress where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Sports Coach or in a similar role within a school or youth setting.

  • A strong passion for sport and youth development.

  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.

  • Ability to engage and inspire students of varying needs and abilities.

  • A positive, energetic and approachable attitude.
