Job Title: SEN Support Worker

Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed and compassionate SEN Support Worker to work closely with students who require tailored support within a nurturing and structured school environment in Wimborne. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to improving academic and personal development for children with diverse needs.
Responsibilities as SEN Support Worker:
- Provide 1:1 support to a designated pupil with MLD or PMLD, ensuring their learning, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised.
- Assist with classroom activities, sensory integration, and structured learning tasks.
- Support with personal care, feeding, and mobility as required.
- Implement strategies from Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with the wider SEN team.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and calm environment that supports positive engagement.
Requirements for SEN Support Worker:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly MLD or PMLD.
- Be comfortable with personal care tasks and the use of assistive technologies or communication aids.
- Display resilience, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Support Worker, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
