About the Role:

As a Classroom Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting students across the classroom, helping them access learning, develop skills, and stay engaged throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a meaningful difference within a nurturing educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
  • Provide general and targeted support to students who may need additional guidance.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage students’ participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or care setting (desirable).
  • A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow guidance and contribute positively to classroom routines.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

To work with GSL Education as a Classroom Support Worker, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
